  • Is a webquest something you might be willing to incorporate into your lesson(s)?

  • Do you think it would be an activity students would enjoy?

  • Have you ever used a web-based activity in your classroom? If so, what did you use? Did it engage students more than "traditional" classroom activities?

  1. I have never used a webquest for the following reasons:
    Not enough computers
Not enough time to do extra activities
Not enough training in the area

As far as the students liking a webquest they probably would but they'd either rush threough it or take all day to get half way through it.

  3. I found that your activity did more to assist me in understanding how a webquest can work better than the long explanations that are often given on tutorials. I have never done this before;however with Irvin's move toward updating technology, I believe that I will use a webquest in the near future.

  7. I think for me and the classes I have this year it would be very difficult but I bet the students would enjoy it and I think it would have more of a learning motivator than traditional teaching. No I have not ever done a webquest.

  8. I would definately use a webquest with my students. It seems like an exciting activity that would help them learn how to manipulate the computer more effectively.

  10. I enjoy learning about programs in which a student can be assigned a webquest because it allows for the student to “teach” themselves and get excited about what they are learning because they can teach someone else. Students believe that what they learn on the computer is the best information they can learn, therefore, will do even the simplest of projects that domino into more complex activities.

  12. I have had the opportunity to use webquest for learning activities. I believe that it was a great resource for students to use to research information on universities. I would like to keep using this form of technology in my classroom when the laptops and/or computer lab is available. ~Jessica M. (Magoffin M.S.)
